Introducing the AMERICAN ICE CAMPER/FISH-HOUSE...
This is a product design of Gabe's Equipment Sales, and we can build you a frame, or a completed unit. We designed the American Ice Camper/Fish-house for the purpose of introducing our idea's of the NEW "Craze" of having a dual purpose camper/fish-house in one unit.
After watching the new ideas for a few years and hearing nightmares about other designs and their lift systems, we came up with a design of our own. There is two main objectives in having a dual purpose unit.
FIRST: By having a dual purpose Fish-house/Camper in one, we can save the costs of having two units and the upkeep on two units.
SECONDLY: Convenient set up and take down for transportation from lake to lake or campsite to home or lake. BASICALLY: We want a dual purpose unit with "mobility".
At Gabe's Equipment Sales we offer two lift systems:
· The Standard winch lift system. · Our system with Jacks to raise and lower the unit.
Have you ever followed a Fish-house down the highway and the top of the wheels are tilting inwards and wheels go down the road at an angle? This is caused because the tubes that support the axles, "twist" from the weight of the unit and the bouncing down the highway.
There is other problems with the standard winch lift tube systems. The tubes have a ballast shaft on one end that pivots through a steel tube. After a couple of years of chlorine and salt from the highways these lift systems need major upkeep and maintenance, or even replacement.
At Gabe's Equipment Sales and Christen Brothers Manufacturing, we designed a lift system that eliminates these problems and headaches. We raise and lower our frames with jacks, much the same as the old pickup camper jack systems.
Raise the structure with jacks and slide an axle and wheel into place and secure it with a clip pin, for short distances like to and from the lake.
Raise the structure with jacks a little higher and back a trailer under it and now you have a real good suspension system for long distance travel. (PATENT PENDING)
Innovative Unique Qualities: 1. Raises and lowers to the ground with Jacks. 2. Wheels and hubs are removable with one pin. 3. Jacks are removable with one pin.
Advantages: 1. Quick and easy take down and set up. 2. Greater lift capacity 3. No twisted angle wheel track. 4. No rusted pivot tubes. 5. All moveable parts are removed while traveling. 6. All moveable parts are stored inside while on the lake depriving thieves from easy access. 7. Less moving parts to maintain. 8. No more busted winch mounts and rusted cables.
Pricing:
· Frames 90 Square feet and less $20.50 sq. ft, incl. jacks. · Frames Over 90 sq. Ft are $21.88 sq. ft. includes jacks. · Add $1.00 a square foot for "V" fronts, and pivot hitches. · Insulated structures w/o paneling and wiring for lights cost $48.08 per square foot. (Includes: frame, insulated floor, structure, insulation, 2 windows, and 6 catch covers. · Completed structures cost $64.04 per square foot and include: the above, paneling, carpet, wiring for lights. Accessories like ranges, microwaves, generators, couches are extra. · Units 16 feet and longer will require tandem axles and will require manufacturer’s quotes. · Units over 7 1/2 feet wide will not be legal for highway traffic. |
